Job Purpose:
The Senior Video Editor is responsible for creative execution of standout trailers, TV spots, sizzles, and social content that elevate the BritBox and BBC Select brands, and drive audience engagement. Blending sharp storytelling instincts with deep technical expertise, this role translates strategic objectives into compelling, platform-aware edits across broadcast, digital, and social. Working cross-functionally with producers, creatives, and marketing partners, the Senior Video Editor ensures every asset reflects BritBox’s modern British sensibility, brand standards, and high production value.
Responsibilities:
Craft, edit, and deliver compelling spots in various video formats, including TV, digital, trailers, sizzles, OOH, and social content.
Edit bespoke videos to promote new scripted series, thematic collections, and brand campaigns.
Translate strategic objectives into culturally relevant and visually distinctive spots, to elevate BritBox’s market perception and reflect a modern British sensibility. Leverage the brand system - but be unafraid to try new things.
Identify and clip social-optimized scenes to be posted on BritBox’s social accounts.
Ensure BritBox and BBC Select brand guidelines, design system and tone-of-voice is cohesive across edits.
Drive concepting at early creative stages. Present script options, music routes, and innovative ‘ways in’ before presenting rough cuts.
Maintain and provide regular updates to BritBox’s motion graphics suite and Premiere Pro template
Partner cross-functionally, with the support of BritBox producers, to ensure alignment across teams, including Press, Paid Media, Editorial, and Lifecycle Marketing.
Provide creative feedback on edits to external freelancers and agencies with clear rationale.
Stay deeply attuned to the evolving world of Entertainment, video editing, and new technologies, with relentless curiosity for new video creative tactics.
Knowledge and Experience:
Professional editing experience
Entertainment/streaming industry post-production experience preferred.
A strong reel of promotional editing work that demonstrates range and polish. Highlighting: narrative instincts, pacing, music taste, sound effects editing, sound mixing, and motion graphics skills.
Exceptional collaborator with experience working alongside producers, designers, writers, and marketing executives.
Strong understanding of video formats, ranging from broadcast standards to vertical video.
Expert knowledge of Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Some knowledge of Figma.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary Range: $100-105k base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
