Job Purpose:
Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of BritBox’s performance media with a heavy emphasis on Amazon Ads. This role leads our agency and internal buying teams across Amazon and other digital channels to drive efficient subscriber growth and LTV. You will set the roadmap, orchestrate cross‑functional partners, and deliver clear, data‑driven insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead planning and optimization of BritBox’s performance media strategy across Amazon Ads, CTV, paid social, and paid search to meet acquisition, conversion, and revenue goals in conjunction with Director of Media Strategy.
Act as the in‑house expert for Amazon Ads—including Amazon DSP and Fire TV/CTV—owning audience strategy, inventory mix, testing, measurement, and partner relationships.
Manage day-to-day relationships with media agency and internal buying teams; establish goals, SLAs, QA standards, and a rigorous test-and-learn agenda.
Build and maintain an experimentation roadmap (creative, audience, bidding, placements, landing flows) to drive incremental growth; document learnings and rollouts.
Define channel/funnel KPIs; produce weekly/monthly executive-ready reports translating data into actionable insights.
Construct and manage performance budgets and forecasts; own pacing, scenario planning, and reallocations to maximize ROI/CAC and contribution margin.
Partner with Product, Data/Analytics, and Lifecycle teams on funnel improvements, including landing page and paywall testing.
Collaborate with Marketing to align briefs, assets, and messaging ladders to channel/placement/audience segments.
Leverage first-party and platform data to build privacy-centric audiences; partner with Analytics on MTA/incrementality; advance data pipelines and dashboards.
Establish brand-safety, viewability, and fraud-prevention standards across platforms ensuring compliance with platform policies and privacy regulations.
Monitor competitive landscape (SVOD/AVOD/FAST) for opportunities in placements, creative trends, and partner betas.
Support distribution partner initiatives (such as channels/app storefronts) with targeted performance plans as needed.
Create clear post-mortems and playbooks to scale successes across markets.
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in performance media/growth marketing with deep hands-on Amazon Ads (DSP/CTV) experience for subscription streaming services (SVOD/AVOD/FAST) or major entertainment apps.
Proven experience managing agency or in-house trading teams across paid search and paid social; adept at briefing, QA, and holding partners accountable to KPIs/SLAs.
Fluency in channel mechanics (search, social, CTV/OTT), including audience strategies, creative best practices, attribution nuances, and incrementality testing.
Strong command of measurement frameworks such as cohort analysis, LTV/CAC, holdout tests, geo-match, MMM/MTA fundamentals; familiarity with Amazon Marketing Cloud a plus.
Proficiency with tools including Amazon DSP/AMC, Google Ads & SA360, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, app/web analytics (GA4/Amplitude), MMPs (AppsFlyer/Adjust), BI/visualization tools (Looker/Tableau).
Experience building budgets and forecasts and presenting results to senior stakeholders.
Entertainment/streaming industry background strongly preferred; pure e‑commerce Amazon experience is insufficient.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Salary Range: $105- 120K base salary + competitive benefits + 15% bonus potential
Please note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role. All candidates will be measured based on their level of experience.
