Job Purpose:
BritBox is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager of Partnerships to drive subscriber growth and digital revenue through key relationships with Amazon Prime Video Channels (US & Canada) and our Bundle partners (STARZ, MGM+, Hallmark+). This individual will play a central role in amplifying BritBox’s programming and marketing priorities through strategic partner collaborations and in-kind marketing opportunities.
Working cross-functionally with Editorial/Programming, Creative, Insights & Analytics, Program Marketing, Operations and Paid Media teams, the Partnerships Manager will secure in-kind marketing features every month while ensuring timely delivery of promotional assets to support BritBox’s programming priorities.
This role is a crucial component of generating revenue and fostering subscriber growth for the BritBox North America business, and will report to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing and Partnerships within the Growth Marketing team.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategic and day-to-day account management with two major streaming distribution partners (Prime Video Channels US, Prime Video Channels Canada)
Conduct regular partner calls to discuss programming, marketing opportunities and performance updates.
Leverage relationships with business contacts to support BritBox’s marketing and programming efforts via editorial marketing placements or value-in-kind promotional opportunities (without additional spend).
Collaborate with Insights & Analytics stakeholders to monitor and evaluate performance metrics (Acquisition, Retention, Engagement, Churn), translate findings into partner-facing insights to improve performance, and present to both internal and external stakeholders.
Act as “Monthly Pitch Owner” for the Partnerships team. Lead the content pitching process every month - by researching priority titles, leveraging positioning and strategic insights - which will be distributed to all distribution partners.
Collaborate with Programming, Operations, Data groups to manage BritBox’s free content sampling program, and provide strategic & data-driven recommendations for unlocking titles every month.
Lead and schedule Quarterly Business Reviews, prepare call agenda, distribute recap notes.
Support new distribution partner launches.
Support new bundle launches with launch materials, campaign planning and marketing assets.
Collaborate with Program Marketing to strategize around content pairings for our bundles for co-branded marketing assets.
Represent Partnerships in weekly calls between Amazon and BritBox Operations teams.
Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential.
Experience in digital media, marketing, and/or account management.
Previous entertainment or streaming television industry experience preferred.
Familiarity with key platform partners and in particular with Amazon is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of the current digital distribution landscape and partner ecosystems.
Knowledge of various video and image asset file types.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Collaborative, proactive team player with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing with department heads, managers, coworkers and partners to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Salary Range: $90 - 100K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
